To become a Pilot Tutor, follow these steps:

  1. Submit your Tutor Application: Apply for the Pilot Tutor position by submitting your application here (no CV required)
  2. Interview Process: After submission, we will reach out to schedule an interview with you
  3. Eligibility Check: Verify that you are a graduate from one of GradTutor’s new partner schools

We decide on a case-by-case basis if you apply for the Pilot Tutor position or the regular Tutor position.

You can set your own schedule anytime on weekdays from 17:00-22:00 and on weekends from 8.00-22:00. You can choose how many hours you would like to work (from 1 to 10 hours per week).

You work as a freelancer. You are, therefore, not bound by an employment contract. We support you through the simple and hassle-free registration.

  • Wage: Receive a very competitive wage (>19€/hr)
  • Experience: Gain valuable teaching and mentoring experience that you can showcase on your CV
  • Flexibility: Set your own tutoring schedule and frequency (from 1 hr/week) and conduct classes fully online
  • Community: Give back to your community and help students at your former school excel academically and fulfill their goals

Your earnings depend on the number of lessons you choose to offer weekly. During the pilot phase, you’ll benefit from commission-free earnings, meaning you keep 100% of your hourly rate.

  • Hourly Rate During MSF Pilot Phase: Starts at 23€/hour
  • After the pilot phase, the standard hourly wage starts at 19€/hour and increases as you gain more experience and positive feedback

Our framework supports you every step of the way:

  1. Client connections: We connect you with motivated students, ensuring a steady flow of rewarding tutoring opportunities
  2. Community impact: We offer the opportunity to give back to your own school community by passing down your knowledge to students from your former school
  3. Schedule compatibility: We understand that you have a busy schedule, that’s why you can offer as little as 1 lesson per week
  4. Regulatory guidance: We provide the necessary guidance for you to tutor within the right legal frame
  5. Invoicing systems: We take care of all invoicing matters for you via a fully automatic system to save you time and energy
  6. Conflict resolution: We help you through all kinds of difficult situations with students by having detailed policies for all kinds of cases
  7. Communication support: We offer many E-Mail templates to help you spend less time crafting E-Mails when communicating with your students
  8. Career boost: For great tutors, we often write certificates and recommendations to help in the job search and showcase professional achievements
  9. Income advancement: We offer the opportunity for tutors to receive more income over time

Once the pilot phase concludes, GradTutor will transition to its standard commission-based model. As a tutor, you will still earn a competitive hourly rate, starting at 19€/hour, with opportunities to increase as you gain more experience. Additionally, your contributions during the pilot phase will help refine the program and platform for future tutors and students.
